On January 26, Revel participated in the second annual Women in Cloud Summit. The Women in Cloud Summit aims to create more women leaders in the technology industry, where such leadership positions are still woefully scarce (women hold just 25 percent of all tech jobs in the U.S. and just 5 percent of tech leadership positions). Led by an amazing cast of women leaders and volunteers, the event drew more than a thousand participants from Washington state and beyond to discuss the importance of educating and enabling the next generation of women leaders to embrace the opportunities of technology and cloud.
The core message of empowerment across all facets of diversity exclusion was a resounding theme that carried throughout the day, and one that we were inspired by. Speakers included Microsoft CVP Gavriella Schuster (pictured above), who emphasized the importance of finding, using and amplifying your voice, who as well as Thai Lee, CEO of SHI International, who stressed goal-setting as instrumental to unlocking opportunities and providing clarity.
