The Microsoft Supplier Program (MSP) Excellence Award Program has named Revel Consulting its 2017 winner in the category of Supplier Diversity. The honor recognizes Revel’s impact on critical Microsoft business objectives and reinforces the firm’s own focus on human-centered business strategies.
“Supporting diversity is smart business; Microsoft gets it, and we do, too,” said Steven Sun, Revel’s client service partner for Technology and leader of the firm’s Microsoft business. “More and more, companies are recognizing the need to represent the diversity of the communities they serve. Here’s what happens when you build business cultures that respect and appreciate people from all walks of life: People win, customers and those working within the company alike.”
Supplier Diversity Excellence Award winners are nominated by Microsoft employees and selected for their outstanding performance and achievements as a supplier to Microsoft; sustained commitment to diversity, demonstrated by significant annual investment in business enterprises owned by minorities; and promotion and advocacy for supplier diversity through community involvement and diversity initiatives.
Revel is a Minority Business Enterprise certified by the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council with a valued emphasis on the development of diversity both within the firm and within the community. Over the past two years, the firm has infused significant resources into organizations that advance diversity, through both direct spending with business enterprises designed as minority-owned and in financial contributions and pro bono consulting engagements with nonprofit organizations that support underrepresented populations.
Revel has provided business consulting services to multiple Microsoft business units since 2003 in the fields of strategy, experience design, organizational engagement, digital transformation, technology enablement and analytics. The firm’s work is designed for maximum agility and flexibility to help stay ahead of ever-evolving technological capabilities, consumer expectations and client needs looming on the horizon for companies across all industries.
“Revel is proud to be a minority-owned business that supports diversity across the board,” said Vikas Kamran, Revel’s CEO. “It leads to customer empathy, human-centered experiences, and tremendous results. Being recognized with this award is a great honor and true validation for the way Revel does business.”
