Revel Consulting Add Presents Under the Tree of City Year

Company’s Sustainable Giving Program Helps Brighten Holidays for Local School Children

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Revel Consulting, a Kirkland, Washington-based business management consulting firm, is focusing its annual holiday giving campaign on City Year of Seattle/King County through a charitable contribution and by matching employee contributions to the non-profit partner. Revel’s holiday giving donations build on the firm’s existing Sustainable Giving partnership with City Year in which Revel associates provide pro bono consulting services to help the organization reach its goals of scaling its programs more effectively and developing new, innovative methods of fundraising to support that growth.

“In our work with City Year over the last six months we’ve not only become familiar with their needs as an organization, but we’ve also experienced first-hand how amazing their people are,” said Vikas Kamran, Managing Director of Revel and Board Member for City Year of Seattle/King County. “We’re so fired up to call City Year our partner and believe these donations can be one part of our efforts to help them achieve their goals in 2012.”

City Year provides year long, full-time programs for young leaders to act as tutors, mentors and role models to help children stay in school and on track, and transform schools and communities. Since mid-2011, Revel has had a team of five associates volunteering numerous hours to help City Year analyze and evaluate their donor outreach process, and begin to implement new strategies utilizing social media.

“As our holiday giving program continues to grow and mature each year, we knew we wanted to be able to offer our employees the option to match their donations and multiply the overall impact Revel has on our community,” said Brett Alston, Managing Director of Revel. “We’ve had another great year in our business, but sharing that success with our Sustainable Giving partners is a must for our team.”

Revel’s Sustainable Giving program goes beyond traditional monetary donations by providing consulting services that ensure organizations can sustain their cause over the long run. In addition to financial support, Revel associates draw on their strong background as business management professionals to help organizations streamline operations, improve efficiencies, lower overhead and, in doing so, maximize impact. In 2011, along with City Year, Revel associates have also offered their project management and marketing expertise to Revel-Rad Racing Junior Cycling Team, Foster Kids 5K Run & Walk, Treehouse, and Roses & Rosemary.
