Revel Consulting Develops Social Media Strategy for Seattle-based Non-profit Treehouse June 28, 2010 Revel consultants donate time and expertise to improve communication with donors by expanding Treehouse’s social media footprint
“Revel has gone way beyond a monetary donation by providing their time, energy and expertise to help us find ways to better communicate with our donors and ultimately have a greater impact on foster children in King County,” said Janis Avery, Executive Director of Treehouse. “The improvements we were able to make with the help of Revel consultants will be a huge help to us as an organization moving forward.” Treehouse gives foster kids a childhood and a future with programs that help them succeed in school, fulfill key material needs, and connect them to experiences every child deserves. Since 1988, Treehouse has filled the gaps for kids in foster care, providing services such as money for extra-curricular activities and summer camp, professional educational support services (tutoring, advocacy and college and career planning), resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up and clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school. “As a company rooted in the Puget Sound community, it’s important that we support organizations like Treehouse in every way possible,” said Brett Alston, Managing Partner of Revel. “We feel fortunate that we were able to leverage our social media expertise to help Treehouse raise more money and increase general awareness of the needs of foster children in the Seattle area.” Launched in June 2009, Revel’s Sustainable Giving program aims to support area non-profit organizations by going beyond traditional monetary donations and providing consulting services that help ensure non-profits can sustain their cause over the long run. In addition to financial support, Revel consultants draw on their strong background as business management professionals to help organizations streamline operations, improve efficiencies, lower overhead and, in doing so, maximize their impact. In 2009, Revel consultants offered their project management and marketing expertise to Foster Kids 5K Run & Walk, which supports abused and neglected foster children in the Seattle area. Treehouse was chosen for Revel’s Sustainable Giving partnership based on an internal survey of the firm’s consultants.
