Revel Consulting Stuffs the Stockings of Treehouse Foster Kids November 25, 2009 Firm's Holiday Giving program to support programs for foster children each year
“On behalf of our clients and consultants, we feel fortunate this holiday season to be able to support Treehouse financially as well organizationally by offering our consultants’ expertise,” said Brett Alston, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Revel. “We had been searching for an organization that is able to make a big impact on children in the Seattle-area, so Treehouse was the perfect fit for us.” Treehouse gives foster kids a childhood and a future with programs that help them succeed in school, fulfill key material needs, and connect them to experiences every child deserves. Since 1988, Treehouse has filled the gaps for kids in foster care, providing services such as money for extra-curricular activities and summer camp, professional educational support services (tutoring, advocacy and college and career planning), resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up and clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school. “Thanks to Revel’s commitment and generosity, many more foster children will be able to receive our important services,” said Janis Avery, Executive Director of Treehouse. “In a time when corporate giving is down, it is a much-needed shot in the arm for our organization and we thank Revel for their dedication to the foster children of our communities.” Launched in June 2009, Revel’s Sustainable Giving program aims to support area non-profit organizations by going beyond traditional monetary donations and providing consulting services that help ensure non-profits can sustain their cause over the long-run. In addition to financial support, Revel consultants draw on their strong background as business management professionals to help organizations streamline operations, improve efficiencies, lower overhead and, in doing so, maximize their impact. Earlier in 2009, Revel consultants offered their project management and marketing expertise to Foster Kids 5K Run & Walk, which supports abused and neglected foster children in the Seattle area. In the coming months, Revel will partner with Treehouse to determine where consulting services will provide the most value to their organization in 2010 and beyond.
