Revel Supports Our Friends at Treehouse

Treehouse is a Seattle-area, non-profit organization that gives foster kids a childhood and a future by providing programs that help them succeed in school, fulfill key material needs, and connect them to childhood experiences every child deserves. Since 1988, Treehouse has filled the gaps for kids in foster care, providing services that no other agency addresses: money for extra-curricular activities and summer camp, professional educational support services (tutoring, advocacy and college and career planning), resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up, clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school.

Revel began its support of Treehouse in 2008 through a company-wide collection for the organization’s “Wearhouse” facility, which offers kids the chance to shop for clothing, toys and school supplies throughout the year at no cost. Since then, Revel has made monetary donations to Treehouse on behalf of Revel clients and employees, as well the donation of pro bono consulting hours. Revel’s initial consulting work consisted of a team of five senior associates who volunteered more than 150 hours over three months to analyze and provide new, innovative solutions to fundraising challenges facing Treehouse. Revel’s work helped to boost Treehouse’s social media presence growing followers by 55%, and provided new and creative avenues for reaching online donors. A key piece to the project was Revel’s ability to segment and target potential donors beyond simply a donation amount, allowing Treehouse to better customize messaging and content. The project was a huge success, increasing web and social media traffic for Treehouse, leading to a new stream of donors and broader awareness of their mission online. Revel Associates also support Treehouse by participating in quarterly roll-up-your- sleeves work events in Treehouse’s “Wearhouse” facility sorting and tagging clothing and organizing displays.
